I installed this kit on my 01 SS, and saw great power, throttle response, and gas mileage gains for a little while. The problem with this kit is that extra ram air that grabs air from in front of the radiator picks up so much dirt from the road. After about 3000 miles your filter will be so clogged that all your gains turn into losses. The lid also rubs on my hood. If I were to do it all over again I wouldn't have bought this kit.
