Heat often causes the knock sensor wiring, connectors, and grommets to become brittle and break when removed. The gen 3 engines sometimes will let water into the knock sensor cavitys causing knock sensor failure. Replace that old harness with this brand new genuine GM part that includes new connectors, grommets and wiring.
